All 3 improvisations are taken from the March 22, 2012 concert at Marsalis Home Taipei. I was given the themes from the audience (as far as I remember there were around 10 themes that day), and out of them I chose these 3 to play on. All of this was without warning or preparation – I tried improvising on the Goldberg variations theme before, but never on “Spring Wind” or “Smile” – until that day. Enjoy! Comments welcome.
